Since the beginning of summer, I've been walking through the forest preserves of Lake county, Illinois. On the weekends I walk 4 to 10 miles a day ans usually bring my video camera just in case I see something of interest.
A good friend named Jill said I should put something together for the upcoming Lake County Fair. I've got a lot of shots of birds, deer, snakes and much more.

Des Plaines River Trail
I took a walk down the Des Plaines River Trail this morning. Everyone who I met (manly people on bikes & a few joggers) were friendly and waved hello.

A Heron in Gurnee
So me and the wife went for a walk last Friday down that trail that follows the Des Plaines River. We got on near Grand Ave and walked north for a while. We game across a small pond, relaxed for a bit and decided to turn back when a Heron flew overhead and landed in the pond if front of us. My wife, who is the photographer, took a few shots. Oh, and I finally scared it to get it to fly away.
